Configs

Configurations can be set at the organization or site level to define different behaviors of Experience Workspace.

Types of configs

When working with Experience Workspace, there are two different types of configs depending on the context of what task you are trying to accomplish.

  1. AEM Edge Delivery configs - This is used for defining settings affecting the preview and publishing of your content including defining headers and CDN setup. This may be referred to as "Config Bus" or "Config Service." Please see the document Setting up the configuration service for details.
  2. Experience Workspace configs - Used for anything that requires very fast response times including information about authentication, library setup, and enabling product features.

Editing Experience Workspace configs

Experience Workspace configs can be set at the organization or site level. Settings at the site level override those from the organization level.

You access the configurations through your content structure using the content browser.

Configurations are represented as sheets and are edited as you would a sheet. Access to view and edit configs depend on your user privileges.

Configuration options are grouped by sheet tabs. Rows represent a configuration option and its value(s). The name of the particular tab as well as the columns and data expected in the rows depend on the configuration option.
